UNITED INITIATIVES FOR PEACE | RAISING MONEY FOR TWO WORTHY CAUSES
This Sunday United Initiatives for Peace held a [fund] RAISE HER to benefit some well deserving young girls. The first annual [fund] RAISE HER was held at The Loft in Montclair benefiting college scholarships for girls in Newark "You Got Schooled" and their summer camp in Haiti ("Bel Kan"). There were as silent auction will which included custom converse sneakers and hand-made bracelets made by women in Rwanda. The money raised is much-needed to help these two organizations that are operated without any grants. This was not only a night to raise money but to meet and greet with others who want to make a difference. There was food, drinks, music and an atmosphere ripe for conversation.
