The Women’s Forum Inc. of New York City had their annual Elly Awards on June 15 with a special luncheon at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. Emmy Award winner Barbara Walters co-hosted the event with Evelyn H. Lauder, Vice President of the Estée Lauder Companies and Founder and Chairman of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation; and Diana Taylor, Managing Director of Wolfensohn Fund Management. These fabulous women were being honored as women in leadership and for their contribution to the Education Fund.

The Elly Awards are named in recognition of The Women’s Forum founder Elinor Guggenheimer. Award presenters included Bobbi Brown: Makeup Artist and Founder of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics along with Lisa Caputo: EVP, Marketing and Communications of the Travelers Companies, Inc.

The Education Fund encourages mature women to pursue an undergraduate college education and to enhance their capacities to provide productive and supportive service to their communities.
